HAPPENINGS AT WES

August 23-26

Welcome back to another fantastic year at Weed Elementary School! We are RESTED and ready to have a great year with you – full of fun, learning and making memories! Remember to be successful, you need a good night’s sleep so make sure you’re getting plenty of rest each and every night! Parents: Please fill out your student’s packet information and get it back to their teacher as soon as possible. If your child’s after school plans change, please call the office at least 1 hour before school gets out so we can ensure your child gets the message. We encourage you to visit our website: weedelementaryschool.com often to stay up-to-date and check this bulletin each day for important information about our school. We are excited to have you here and look forward to an awesome year.

SPORTS CORNER

Volleyball signups for (6th-8th graders) will be in Ms. Hall’s room and Cross Country (5th-8 th grades) will be in Mrs. Blankenship’s room. Remember, all athletes must have a physical in order to get a uniform and participate in competitions. See Terry in the office for a physical form to take to your doctor.

SAFE PROGRAM:

Our After School Program offers a snack and supper as well as help with homework and activities to keep your student engaged and active! Our program runs from after school (even on

minimum days) until 6pm daily.

CUB CHARACTER

At Weed Elementary we are always looking for, and recognizing excellent character. Character is the way someone thinks, feels and behaves. Your character defines who you are! Some great Cub Character traits that you can strive to display are: Kindness, Patience, Honesty, Integrity, Self-Control, Confidence, Friendliness and Sincerity. We will explore new character words and how we might display these in our everyday lives. Trust us – you’ll be happy with how this

shapes who you are and as an extra bonus: you get rewarded with fun activities, awards,

assemblies & field trips.
