Get your Spirit Wear ASAP – the website will be closing APRIL 23rd and won’t reopen until next year. All orders can be placed and paid for online at: https://weedelem.itemorder.com. If you don’t have internet available to you, orders can be placed directly through Sportsmen’s Den in Mt. Shasta. Fliers were sent home or check out the website for designs and styles.
College of the Siskiyous Upward Bound has extended the deadline for the Preliminary forms for 8th grade to April 27, 2017
Our next Cub Power fundraiser will be our Drive Thru Dinner on May 18th. Tickets will be pre-sold soon. This is a GREAT event that you don’t want to miss out on. Montgomery’s Meats provides an incredible meal at a discount so we can raise money for our school!
8th Grade News
There is a mandatory 8th grade parent meeting Wednesday night, April 26th from 5-6:30 in the library to discuss class trip, graduation etc. 8th Grade is selling World’s Finest Chocolate for $2.00 each. Please help us earn money for our 8th grade trip in June! Thanks for your support.

WES and Habitat For Humanity
This week WES Green Team and cooking class fed Habitat for Humanity workers who were in town to help rebuild homes from the fire. What an amazing opportunity for our students to be a part of. A special thank you to Grocery Outlet for donating all of the meat. Thank you to Eriksson Brioso, Ms. Hall and the Green Team and cooking students for making and serving others. Way to go WES!

We, at Weed Elementary School, believe that it is our responsibility to provide quality educational programs which foster significant academic achievement for ALL students in a safe environment characterized by mutual respect and acceptance of the individual differences.
EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS OFF CAMPUS
If WES students and staff need to evacuate the school for an emergency please do the following:
1. Remain calm- we will evacuate all of our students safely.
2. Please let us get all students to the evacuation sight and meet us there for sign out and pick up.
3. As soon as possible you will be notified with information if we need to evacuate.
If we are evacuating off campus and remaining in the uptown area of Weed please meet us at Son's Field by the high school
If we are evacuating off campus to the downtown area, pick up will be on Alamo by the train depot.
